Obituary of Doris Hull

Rotterdam - Doris Alberta Dawsey Hull passed away peacefully, November 23, 2021at Ellis Hospital. She was born February 21,1934 to Emma and James Dawsey. Doris grew up in the city of Schenectady and attended St Columba's School.
She is survived by her sons, William G. Hull (Margaret) and Robert G. Hull (Barbara), daughter, Tammy K. Carpentier (James), and her devoted grandchildren, William Hull and Jennifer Naylor, Meghan and Ryan Carpentier, and Victoria and Aaron Hull. She is also survived by her siblings, Margaret Cooper of Scotia, New York, Rose Marie Frasso of Torrance California and Donald Dawsey of Beavercreek, Ohio. Doris was predeceased by her devoted husband, William, in 1998; her sisters,Theresa Kelly and Shirley Connelly, brothers, Robert Dawsey and James Dawsey.
Doris treasured her relationships with her nieces and nephews and the many friendships she made during her lifetime. Her favorite saying was "Smile, it's free." She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a member and collector of Our Lady of Assumption Church (Our Lady Queen of Peace) in Rotterdam.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 30th, 10:00 am, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park with her beloved husband. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
