Michael J. Hogan Somerset, NJ It is with great sadness to announce that Michael (Mike) Hogan passed away March 30 after a brief illness at the age of 78. Mike attended St Joseph’s Elementary and Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady. Following high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and completed his tour of duty as an aircraft electronics technician, then honorably discharged. Later he attended Schenectady Community College and earned an Associate Degree in Technology. After a brief employment at GE, he enrolled in a management training program with Mr. Panel, a regional home improvement goods company. He went on to manage several retail outletsalong with other roles, all in New Jersey, where he would remain until his death. Michael was the son of John and Irene (Prusak) Hogan, loving brother to Patrick, Mary (all deceased) and Daniel. He had a large circle of friends in the Somerset NJ area and maintained life-long friendships with classmates from the Schenectady area. An avid collector, Mike amassed a sizeable number of antique radios and jukeboxes, as well as sport memorabilia and other collectibles. His love for dogs was known by all and he provided a home for many rescued dogs over the years. Mike will be missed by all of us who knew him, for his engaging personality, generosity, and love for those close to him. He will be remembered fondly.
