Obituary of Richard B. Foley

Richard (Dick) B. Foley, 92, passed away Saturday June 11, 2022. Born September 12, 1929 in Schenectady to Bernard and Elsie Manas Foley. Graduate of Mont Pleasant High School in 1947 and Hudson Valley Community College in 1955. Dick was in the US Navy from 1948 to 1952 serving two and a half years in the Far East, including Guam, Okinawa and the Philippine Sea serving in task Force 77 during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of American Legion post 1005. Dick was a Senior Designer in the Plant Engineering Department for the General Electric company, for 41 years. He is predeceased by his wife Ida who died March 5, 2003. He is survived by 3 sons, David R Foley (Lori), Michael J Foley (Tracey) and Andrew J Foley. Dick is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Michael Foley (Millie), Daniel R. Foley, Lauren Lavoo (Ryan) and Steven Foley (Angelina), Ashleigh Hall and 4 great grandchildren, Lyla, Rosalie, Giavanna and Marin. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service Wednesday June 15th for 10 AM at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. An hour of visitation will precede the service from 9 AM to 10 AM. Interment, Schenectady Memorial Park Cemetery.
