Obituary of Nancy Hudson

Please share a memory of Nancy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Nancy Hudson, age 66, passed away on June 15, 2022 at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers. She was born on January 15, 1956 in Cincinnati, OH. Nancy was the daughter of the late Carl and Joan (Muller) Hudson. She was one of three children. Nancy was a trained musician who loved piano and singing. Despite her lifelong physical disabilities she managed to perform in many venues over the years. Eventually her performances were solely for the other residents at the Brooklyn Center for Rehabilitation, where she was a longtime resident. Nancy spent many Augusts in the Saratoga Racecourse clubhouse with her late father Carl. Her passion for horse racing never diminished and she made sure her Belmont Stakes bet was placed just prior to her passing. Nancy is survived by her siblings Philip Hudson (Nevenka Rezic) of Gansevoort, NY, and Valerie Rasmussen (Scott) of Penfield, NY along with a niece and nephews. She is also survived by her very special "mama", Beatrice McKay of Brooklyn, NY, Nancy's longtime aide who became her adopted mother. A mass of Christian Burial will occur on June 25th at 10:30 at St Katerina Tekawitha in Niskayuna. Burial will follow at The Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
