Butch & Chris have been our neighbors for almost a quarter of a century. They are exactly the type of neighbors you wish for when moving into a new place. They are always there if you need them & keep a look out for all of us. They have always gone out of their way to lend a helping hand. They constantly thought of us throughout the years like bringing over cookies, food from the garden, or sharing extra juice boxes for the kids.
Butch was an incredibly kind & selfless man, a person with morals, values, and a heart full of love you don’t see much of anymore in anyone. He had this tremendous amount of love for his family, especially for their beautiful grandbabies. You could see how his family brought him pure joy. On a snowy morning, Butch would be outside snow blowing not only his driveway & sidewalks but the neighbors as well. If he gave someone the shirt off his back, that wouldn’t surprise us at all. We have a decent size family & we each have many stories of how Butch saved the day in some aspect. He was altruistic, generous, and considerate. Although we cannot speak for others, I know the other neighbors can attest to that. His small acts of kindness made long-lasting impressions & for that, we are truly grateful. On a lighter note, he put up with all our shenanigans including 17 ½ years of our dog who was deeply passionate about barking without complaint!
Every day since 1998 he greeted us with a smile and wave. Over the years, Chris & Butch have become more than neighbors, but dear friends of ours. It was an honor to be a neighbor to Butch; we really hit the jackpot having Chris & Butch next door. Butch will be missed dearly; He already is And to Chris, Kelly, & Graig we are always here.
