Obituary of Linda S. Barnes

Linda was born in Schenectady the daughter of Eleanor (Williams)Lewis and the late Benjur Lewis and was a lifelong area resident. She earned her college degree from Albany Business School and then worked for General Electric for more than 4 decades, a career that she enjoyed and was proud of. As much as she enjoyed her career, Linda treasured time with family and friends above all. Linda was married to William E. Barnes Sr, who preceded her in death. In addition to her mother Eleanor V. Lewis, Linda is survived by her children: Stacey Lewis, Lynee Barnes and William E. Barnes, Jr., grandson Jhordan M. Barnes, two great-grandchildren: Jasdyanna Barnes and Gabryel Barnes, half sister Tracey Diaz and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives. A memorial service will be held Sunday 4:00 pm at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
