Obituary of Rosemary Feane

Rosemary I. Feane, 90, of the Kingsway Nursing Home, formerly of Hollandale Apartments in Clifton Park, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Ellis Hospital. Rosemary was born in Saratoga Springs and moved to Schenectady as a child. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and the College of St. Rose. She was an executive secretary for the New York Telephone Co., retiring with 30 years of service to the company. Rosemary was very active with the Schenectady Chapter of the College of St. Rose Alumni Association. She enjoyed life, keeping very active from her childhood, skating in her beloved Central Park, participating in many sports, summers on Saratoga Lake, attending the races at the track and watching people and the fashions. She is survived by her only niece, Colleen (Ted) Rudinski of Niskayuna; cherished three nephews, Larry (Alfia) Knowles and Matthew and Michael Rudinski; and dear friend, Gail Rohde. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Burns, in April. Funeral service Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Schenectady, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours Tuesday evening, 5 to 7 at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to the J. Raymond Quinn Fund at Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons High School, 2602 Albany St., Schenectady, NY 12304 or the College of St. Rose, 432 Western Ave., Albany, NY 12203.
