Obituary of Ruth Antalek

Delray Beach, Florida- Ruth M. Antalek 91 of The Abbey Delray South Health Center formerly of Careleon Road Rotterdam and Standford Avenue Schenectady died Friday June 19, 2009 at the center. Born and educated in Schenectady. Mrs. Antalek had work at the General Electric, Wallace's, and the Carl Company. Later working with the NYS Department of Tax and Finance before retiring. Ruth enjoyed activities at the Rotterdam Senior Citizens Center, Square Dancing, participating in several choirs including the Goldenaires. She also enjoyed Knitting and Crocheting. She was married to Frederick Antalek he died in 2000. She was also predeceased by her two sons Richard Antalek and Robert Antalek and a sister Irene Bandos. Survivors include two daughter-in-laws Mindy Antalek of Boca Raton, FL and Patricia Antalek of Clearwater, Fl; a sister Marion Atkins of Dover, DE; and four grandchildren Robert C. Antalek, Tracy Jesjionowski, Rachel Antalek, and Eric Antalek; and six great grandchildren. Funeral Service Saturday morning from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady and 9 o'clock at St. Paul the Apostle Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
