Barbara M Fisher, of Oak Tree Lane, died Christmas day at Ellis Hospital, after a long illness. Her family was with her at her passing. Daughter of the late Harold and Helen Wainright, Barbara was born in Spring Lake, NJ, moving to Sharon Springs before settling in Schenectady, where she graduated from Nott Terrace High School. Upon her graduation, she attended Ithaca College. She was employed by WGY-WRGB as a secretary and news analyst during the heyday of GE broadcasting. Barbara left the work force in the late 50s to raise a family and later became employed by the Schenectady County Clerks Office. She loved her family, SPAC, the Philadelphia Orchestra, traveling through New England and the New York Yankees. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bruce; her children, Brian, Patricia, Jeffrey(Colleen); and grandchildren, Allison, Daniel and Sarah. Funeral service, Thursday, December 30, 11 a.m. at the Niskayuna Reformed Church. Visitation will precede the service Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment, Niskayuna Reformed Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's memory to the church building fund or the American Cancer Society .
