Sheila Hopper Obituary

Sheila Kay Hopper, 57, of Schenectady, NY, passed away on September 20, 2023.

Sheila was born on October 19, 1965 in Schenectady, NY, to Thelma Covion and

the late Franklin Swint.

Sheila was a loving and family-oriented person. She had a special knack for

bringing people together and always enjoyed planning gatherings to be

surrounded by her loved ones. Sheila's warm and friendly nature was evident in

her daily interactions, as she would often be found on her porch, saying hello to

nearly everyone who passed by. Through these connections, she created lasting

friendships and touched the hearts of many.

Sheila was the proud owner of Mrs. H's Daycare, where she made a positive

impact on the lives of many children and their families. She was known for her

helping hand and her ability to empathize with others. Her stubbornness, silliness,

and charisma made her an amazing wife, mother, Mima, and friend.

Sheila is survived by her loving husband, Bert Hopper, her sons Michael Swint and

Matthew Swint, her daughter Megan DeLacey, her mother Thelma Covion, her

sister Deborah Ozmon, her sister Kelly Hayes, her sister Bonnie Williams, her

brother Franklin Swint, and her brother Dennis Swint. She was preceded in death

by her father, Francis Swint.

Sheila enjoyed various hobbies, including plastic canvas, bingo, and playing tablet

games. These activities brought her joy and relaxation in her free time.

A wake will be held on Saturday, September 23rd from 3pm to 5pm, followed by a

small service at Daly Funeral Home, located at 242 McClellan St, Schenectady, NY.
