ALMA LEFFINGWELL KILLEEN, 93 years young of Schenectady, New York passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, October 9th, 2023.

Alma was born in Wells, Vermont to Arthur and Mary Ellen Leffingwell on December 17th, 1929. She was one of eight children and moved to the Capital District after high school. Alma worked at General Electric, the Annex restaurant, and as a real estate agent for Welbourne & Purdy. She was also a long-time member and past president of the Schenectady County Bar Association Auxiliary. Alma was loved and respected by so many as a witty, fiercely determined yet incredibly kind, beautiful soul with impeccable fashion sense.

Alma is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Killeen of New York City, son Frederick Killeen and his spouse Susan Killeen of Schenectady, her partner of 24 years, Corey Gold, of Niskayuna as well as her grandchildren Carlton Leffingwell, Daniel Killeen and his wife Laura Killeen, William Killeen, and Kelly Fitzgerald, great-grandsons Sidney and Liam Killeen, sister Phyllis Millington, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her eldest child, Thomas Leffingwell, and husband, William Killeen, as well as siblings Arnold, Robert, Richard, and Ronald Leffingwell, Edith Egerter and Margaret Whitney.

Funeral Services will be held at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street in Schenectady, at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 12th. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00am – 1:00pm.
