Obituary of Maurice Isaac Mitchell, Jr.

Maurice Isaac Mitchell, Jr. Maurice “Moe” entered into eternal life on Tuesday January 9, 2024. He was born in Schenectady on February 29, 1992. Maurice was a funny, loving and caring person. He loved life and spending time with his many friends. Maurice was good hearted and would do anything he could to help others . He lit up the room wherever he went. He will always be remembered for his signature smile and great personality. Maurice was a 2010 graduate of Mohonasen High School, where he played on the football team. Maurice loved playing with his nephew, Angello. He also loved listening to music, fishing and watching his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles, win. Maurice adored his pitbulls: QueQue (precious) and Broly. He brought them wherever he went and treated them as his children, he loved them dearly. Maurice is now at peace, having been reunited with our loved ones who have gone before us. We loved Maurice dearly and he will always be in our hearts forever !! The memories he gave us will never be forgotten!! He is survived by his brother Dupreme Lane, nephew Angello Dupreme Lane, aunts and uncles Roger (Lisa) Christman, Christine Diane Christman, Darrel Christman and Susan Christman, adopted brother Matthew Bermudez, cousins William A. Christman and Caroline P. Christman. Maurice was predeceased by his parents: Karen Lynn Christman and Maurice Isaac Mitchell, Sr. ,grandmother Roberta A. Alberts and Uncle William G. Christman. The funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday January 22, 2024 at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Vale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to either one of the following organizations as they had assisted Maurice in the past with his pit-bulls.
