Niskayuna, NY - Elizabeth M. Rose PItts, "Liz," passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family and friends, ON Sunday February 4, 2024.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Pitts, her loving daughters: Laurie Balls (Joseph), Carmen Rej (Derek), Angela VanDorn (Bill) and Michelle LaBarge (Don), grandsons: Luis Balls III (Ashley), Miguel Balls (Vanessa), Raymond Lee (Alyssa) and Jason LaBarge, great-grandchildren: Madison, Jillian, Sophia, Penelope, Olivia and Luis IV. Liz is also survived by her loving brother, William Rose (Carol), and sister-in-law Diane Rose and was predeceased by sister Mildred Lepore, brother-in-law Mario Lepore and brother James Rose.

Liz worked as a CNA for many years up until she retired from Hallmark Nursing Home. She was truly a genuine caretaker, her patients and their families loved her and she developed many special relationships and bonds over the years. If you were fortunate enough to know Liz, you knew she had one of the biggest hearts you would ever know. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, aunt, sister and best friend ever.

Liz / Mom always kept us laughing, right up until the end. It was the running joke in our family, when we often reminded her of "her way" of pronouncing certain words/names - "Opal Winfrey", "Camone", "Walmark" and the list went on. She would just tell us to "shut up" when we made fun of her.

She will be missed tremendously and a large void is left in our hearts, but we know she is perfect now.

We will watch for you, mom in every rainbow, in the rays of sunshine peeking through on a cloudy day, the cold winds on a winter's morning and we will always dance to your favorite songs.

Visitation for Liz will be Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
