Carmella Polsinelli, 98, passed away peacefully at her home on February 8th with the support of her loving children and Community Hospice. She was born in Calabria, Italy and emigrated to the U.S. in 1936. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. She married Andrew A. Polsinelli in 1951, and together they had six children.

She was predeceased by her husband and is survived by their children: Karen Polsinelli of Duanesburg, NY; Patricia Crawford of Fairfax, VA; Susan Kaplan of Waldorf, MD; Janet Polsinelli of Southport, NC; Nancy Polsinelli of Jupiter, FL; and Andrew Polsinelli of Dana Point, CA. She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Spending time with her family was Carmella's greatest joy. She was also an avid reader, gardener, and knitter. She took great pride in knitting items for charity.

At her request there will be no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carmella's name can be made to the City Mission of Schenectady or the Community Hospice Foundation of Albany.
