She was a great teacher! Passionate about her students success! I remember that one time I bought in a little cookbook from my grandma's cookbooks that she left me and my mom. It was a Czechoslovakian 32 page cookbook with different family recipes, from Binghamton NY, from about 1940 or so. Chef Heekin was so thrilled about it! I let her borrow it so she could look through it and make photocopies of some of the recipes. She was loved by so many! Losing her breaks a lot of hearts! I pray for her family during this difficult time.
