Nancy Moorby Obituary

Schenectady - Nancy Moorby, 84, passed away at home on Thursday February 29, 2024.

Nancy was born in Moriah, NY, one of five children, to the late Kenneth and Mae (Mullis) Moorby. She graduated from Port Henry High School and then moved to the capital district to attend Albany Business College. After graduating, she met Jim McGrath and started her family, being married to Jim for 20 years. Nancy began her work career with Schenectady Importing Company which led to her working at St. Clare's Hospital, where she ended up running the payroll department, a job which she really enjoyed. All told, Nancy was employed at the hospital for 35 years, retiring in 2004. She was a long time parishioner of St. Paul the Apostle Church, enjoyed traveling with family and golfed for many years in numerous leagues, most notably at Eagle Crest Golf Course. Nancy loved maintaining her home and lawn and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies.

Nancy is survived by her children: Brian (Karen) McGrath and Deborah Puskarich (Gino Chiaravalle), grandchildren: Sean McGrath, Gianna (Kale) Gaden and Eddie Puskarich III; great grandson K. J. Gaden and her canine companion Zeus.
