Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Mikhaela?
A: Mikhaela was incredibly honest with herself and others. I never had to guess what she was thinking, or how she was feeling. She was very honest about communicating how she felt. I admired this quality in her personality.
I also loved the passion with which she used to defend her opinions. We used to debate about different things. Sometimes we agreed, and sometimes we didn't. However, I always admired her passion for arguing about different topics.
Also, she liked to play pool and I still remember the pool games that I played with her. Here is a picture of her, playing pool.

Mikhaela was my roommate for two years at UMass Lowell, giving me the unique privilege of developing a sisterly bond with her during that time.
Mik was extraordinarily talented, excelling in everything she set her mind to. Her intellect was a marvel, from her enchanting song covers and the complex equations she'd whimsically write on our mirror with lipstick, to her deep dives into the philosophical layers of movies during our hours-long discussions.
Our time together was filled with memorable activities like paint nights, spa evenings, movie marathons, and homework sessions. Mik would often braid my hair, adding a touch of sweetness to our daily lives.
A standout memory was when her friends arranged for all the roommates to visit an observatory, where we learned to make a telescope lens—a genuinely unparalleled experience.
I also recall a specific spring day at the beach with Mik and our other roommates. Despite the chilly wind, we danced and braved the cold water. It was a much-needed break from the rigors of midterms. Mik, always disciplined in her studies, seemed especially free that day, dancing with the wind. Her ability to balance a demanding major with her adventurous spirit was inspiring.
Years have passed since our college days, and though our communication has waned, my fond memories of Mikhaela and admiration for her talent, spirit, and joyful personality remain undiminished. Her passing is a profound loss to myself and many others who were touched by her light.
To Mikhaela's family and friends, I extend my deepest condolences. I find solace in imagining her among the stars, exploring the vast universe that always captivated her.
Rest easy, Mik.

I went to high-school with Mini, we sat next to each other in Spanish class despite her being a year ahead of me and I'm so grateful because she made me look forward to it! She was incredible, such a smart student, an athlete anyone would be lucky to have on their team and one of the most amazing people to talk to. We laughed every class together and I'll never forget how contagious her energy and smile was.
I remember her telling me how much she wanted a Savannah cat and I was lucky enough to go over her house and get to meet her beautiful cats after getting them and seeing how happy they made her.
It's rare to meet someone like Mini, someone who has no idea the unforgettable postive impact they've made on other people.
She told me one class about how when she was younger and her house burned down, the way she spoke about having to start all over again showed me how incredibly strong willed her and her family are.
Michaela is an incredible loss, even though we lost touch the memories I have with her will always be carried in my heart and I will always keep them a part of me.

We enjoyed having Mini hang with us “The Baileys” On this day. We took the girls to Six Flags!! Amelia and Mikhaela were so excited and scared at the same time. Vicky was too small for this ride. We had so many fun memories with Mikhaela, from singing and dressing as Hannah Montana. I wish I could find the picture of her in the wig. The girls loved crazy hair day at school so much. That we did it on sleep overs. I’m not the best with words. We send our condolences to Mikhaelas family and friends. Still hard to wrap my brain around this. R.I.P Mini
