Saratoga Springs - Ivan E. Liscum, Jr., passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Schenectady to Ivan and Marion (Campbell) Liscum where he attended local schools. Ivan proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1954 to 1958 and the US Air Force from 1959 to 1966. While in the service, he met and married his first wife Carol Stroud of Long Beach, California. They had three children, Rita, Patricia and Ivan "John". They divorced in 1964.

After serving in the armed forces, he went to work for the GE Co. in Schenectady until his retirement. Ivan met the love of his life; Vivian and they were married from 1972 until her death in 1996. Besides his parents and his wife Vivian, he is predeceased by his brothers, Richard and William, daughter, Rita and son Ivan "John". Ivan also had an extended family, Herman Neidhammer of Florida, Wayne Bishop of Schenectady and Nancy Gayhart of Caledonia, NY.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in Park View Cemetery, 40 Fehr Ave., Schenectady. There will be no calling hours.
