Obituary of Lillian Walsh

Schenectady, NY - Lillian Elizabeth Walsh, 81, passed away Wednesday June 5, 2024 at home. Lillian was born in Niskayuna the daughter of the late Ruth and Paul Schindler and was a lifelong area resident except for a brief period when she lived in Florida. She was a cosmetologist and hairdresser for 15 years and later worked for New York State Department of Tax and Finance, where she retired from. Lillian was a long time member of the American Rose Society, where she served as the New York State Director, Region 1 Director and sat on the National Board as the Chairperson of Rose Arranging Judges. She also enjoyed cake decorating and was an artist who was a member of the Schenectady Artist Society and the Colonie Artist Society. She is survived by her husband of more than 40 years, Nicholas F. Walsh, daughter, Linda (Jeff) Kalasinski, grandchildren: Molly and Matthew Kalasinski and Ema Fox and sister, Denice Kucera. Lillian was predeceased by her son, Guy Paul Fox and grandson, Mason Fox. The funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
