Obituary of Lallchan Jettoo

Lallchan Derrick Jettoo, 60, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 14, 2024 at his home in Schenectady, NY. He was born in Guyana on December 26, 1963 and resided there for many years before emigrating to the United States. During his professional career, Lallchan worked for Perfect Body as an auto/bus mechanic. He was an entrepreneur working at both, S & D West Indian Grocery and Jets Direct Express Trucking, LLC. Lallchan was an avid cricket fan. He could always be found watching cricket games. He also loved to entertain others with his witty sense of humor and his singing and dancing to traditional Bollywood music. He loved his family dearly and was the most supportive son, brother, father, cousin, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of unconditional kindness, love and generosity. He was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Lallchan is survived by his father; Peter, along with his sister, Dhanmattie (Homesh) and brother Christopher (Rupa), his children Amanda (Amit) and Joanna (Kaywal), his grandson, Ashaan, his nieces and nephews, Samantha (David), Natasha (Aneil), Krishna, Christopher, Steven, Crystal, Abigail, and Ava, and his grandnieces, Avanya and Adiya. He is predeceased by his mother, Dhanwantie. Friends and family are welcome to a viewing that will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 5 PM to 9 PM and a funeral service that will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, beginning at 9 AM at the Daly Funeral Home.
