Glenville - Nancy Ann Durbak, 95, went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2024 peacefully passing surrounded by family.


Nancy was born on February 15, 1929 in Springfield, Illinois to the late Hayden and Neva Williams. The eldest of five children, she grew up in Litchfield, Illinois and attended Litchfield HS and Illinois State University where she met her husband, Robert. They married on July 8, 1950 in Schenectady, NY where they raised their six children.


Nancy was a woman of grace and beauty, and was loving, thoughtful and selfless. She will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, positive attitude, and adventurous spirit. She was a devoted mother, homemaker, substitute teacher and later had a career as a realtor and a mortgage lender with M&T Bank.


Nancy was involved in her community, a Schenectady Kiwanian for many years, serving a term as President and Lt.Governor; she was recording secretary of the Schenectady Ole Timers Baseball Club; longtime member of the Willows Country Club. She was an active member of St Luke's Catholic Church and Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville.


She treasured time with family and friends, enjoyed playing golf and was an avid bridge player. Nancy cherished her vacations, especially to Brant Lake, Cocoa Beach, Florida and took many cruises.


Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Robert of 46 years, companion, Peter Pelkey of six years, son David Durbak and sister Charlotte Jones.


She is survived by her siblings Philip Williams and Hester Bishop of Litchfield, IL and Martha Bruner of Hendersonville, TN; her devoted children Lynda Jutton (David) of Red Hook, NY; Daniel Durbak of Niskayuna, NY; Karen Kulak (John) of Scotia, NY; Diane Campbell (Richard) of Mansfield, MA and Patricia Neuhoff (Kent) of Cordova, TN, daughter-in-law Linda Ballard of Arcadia, FL; her 11 cherished grandchildren; Elizabeth, David & Tim Jutton; Keith Durbak; John, Christopher & Pamela (Coons) Kulak; Katherine & Julie Campbell; Lauren & Michael Neuhoff; and nine adored great grandchildren.


Services will be held at Daly Funeral Home in Schenectady on Wednesday July 10, 2024 from 5 pm to 7 pm. The Funeral will be held on Thursday July 11, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville, NY. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd. Glenville, NY 12302 or the Schenectady Ole Timers Baseball Club, Youth Activities, 3041 Cox Ave. Schenectady, NY 12306.
