Niskayuna, NY - Vito Enrico Caruso, 78, passed away at home on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
Vito was born in New Rochelle, NY, July 11, 1946, the son of the late Vito A. and Gloria T. Caruso. As a young man, he served in the US Army for 2 years. Vito worked for the US Postal Service for many years, a job which he enjoyed and suited him, as he loved going for walks. After retirement from the Post Office, Vito worked for the Niskayuna Senior Citizen Center.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy (Breunig) Caruso, their daughters, Rachel Caruso and Rebecca Laundry, granddaughter, Gabriella Laundry and brother, Michael (Barbara) Caruso.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 A.M., Monday, August 12, 2024, at St. Kateri Tekakwitha, 1803 Union St., Niskayuna. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private, at the convenience of the family.
