Obituary of Donna V. Loro

Niskayuna - Donna V. Loro, 81, passed away Wednesday September 4, 2024, at her home. Donna was born and raised in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Eva and Dante Venditti. She graduated from the Academy of Holy Names and earned her college degree from Russell Sage College. Donna worked in the insurance industry her entire life, owning and operating her own agency, Bellevue Insurance Agency, for many years on Upper Broadway in Schenectady. She was very active in Business Professional Women (BPW) for many years, a member of the Northside Business Association, involved in Tuesday in the Park and Colonial Festival with her husband Joe for many years. Donna loved spending weekends in Bolton Landing where she and Joe owned a home for many years. It was in Bolton Landing that she and Joe entertained their many friends year-round. She is survived by her daughter Margaret (Steven) Kodesch, Godchildren: Anthony Muscatello, Heather Giorgianni and Nicole Falace-Silvis and numerous cousins. Calling hours will be Sunday September 15, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday September 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 806 Union St., Schenectady. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to City Mission of Schenectady.
