Canandaigua, New York – Frances E. Hooker Unseld (97), formerly of Coburg Village Way, Rexford, New York, died Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at FF Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua, New York. Frances was born on April 5, 1927 in Schenectady, the daughter of William and Frances Borowski Hooker and a graduate of Linton High School. Frances married Thomas W. Unseld at the Church of St. Lukes, in Schenectady, NY on April 16, 1955. They were married for 60 years, until his passing on March 5, 2016. Frances's life was devoted to her husband, Thomas, her daughters and to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Frances is survived by her four daughters, Susan (John) Michalko of Canandaigua, Barbara (Dennis) Taylor of Canandaigua, Carolyn (Bruce) Wasilchuk of Venice, Florida, and Mary (Charles) Sedota of Hardeeville, South Carolina; and eight Grandchildren, John-Thomas, Brian, Kathryn (Reeves) and Nicholas Michalko, Lauren (Benzing) and Michael Wasilchuk, and Rachel (Mills) and Christopher Sedota, as well as two great-granchildren, Mia Michalko and Margot Reeves.

Frances is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Barbara, Dorothy, William, Edward, and Jean.

Funeral Services, Monday morning (November 11, 2024) at 9:00 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Internment follows at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
