Daniel Fogg Obituary

Clifton Park - Daniel M. Fogg, 69, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at home surrounded by loving family.

Dan was born and raised in Schenectady, the son of the late Nancy and Merle Fogg and was a lifelong area resident. He owned and operated Gateway Transportation in Scotia for more than twenty years. Dan loved to gather people around him which often included cooking for them; he was an outstanding chef, something he had hidden from his family for years. He enjoyed playing poker and was an avid sports fan, especially the NY Yankees. His greatest joy, outside of his family, was bass fishing. Dan was widely known for his humor and generosity.

Dan is survived by his wife, Linda (Butler) Fogg, daughters: Julianne Fogg, Marygrace Fogg and Angelica Fogg, stepchildren: Michael (Celia) Sofia, Nicholas (Amy) Sofia and Jacqueline (Gary) Morin, grandchildren: Brody, Ryder, Raelynn, Skylar and Nikki and siblings: Mike Fogg and Dina Fogg.

Visiting hours for Dan will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
