Schenectady - Helen R. Gallant, 72, of Brandywine Ave., died Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Ellis Hospital. Helen was born and educated in Essex England, she moved to the US in 1960, and worked for the New York Thruway Authority as a tollbooth operator for 15 years, retiring in 2007. She was a member of AARP, a diehard Yankees fan, longtime member of Wannabee mixed bowling league and secretary, enjoyed fishing and trips to Mohican Sun. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul R. Gallant; two daughters, Rose Klementowski and Ramona Marley; four siblings, Bryan, Tommy, Eric, and Betty Clark; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Peter; and two brothers, Eddie and George. Calling hours will be held Saturday afternoon, 2 to 3:30 at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.
