Rita Gotha Obituary

Rita A. Gotha, 88, of London Square, formerly of Gibson St., Schenectady, died Saturday, April 4, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy. Mrs. Gotha was born in Winooski, VT. She was educated at St. Colman's Home and resided in Albany for many years before moving to Schenectady. She had been a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church. Rita was married to James A. Gotha; he died in 2006, and she was predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth "Bette" Lathwood. She is survived by a son, Kevin Gotha of Schenectady; six grandchildren, James (Anna) Schworm, Christopher Schworm, Michael Lathwood, Amber, Zachary and Joshua Gotha; nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Wednesday morning at 8:30 from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 9 o'clock at St. Paul the Apostle Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours Tuesday evening 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
