Schenectady - Eleanore J. Grasso, 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Eleanore was born in Bridgeport, CT, the daughter of the late Kurt and Elsa Matzke, and moved to Schenectady as a young child, where she has called home since. She worked as an operator for New York Telephone Company in Schenectady until she started raising her family. Eleanore was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Grasso, Jr., who passed away in 1996 and son-in-law, Mark Wilgocki. Eleanor is survived by her children, Alexandra (Timothy) Woods, William (Bernaette) Grasso, Valerie Wilgocki and Jennifer (Michael) Eason; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and her brother, Frederick K. Matzke. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
