Obituary of Susan Herrgesell

Susan W. Herrgesell NiskayunaSusan W. Herrgesell, 71, of Timothy Ln., died Monday, May 28, 2012 at home. Sue and her twin sister were born in Marblehead, MA and moved to the Schenectady area when they were in their teens. They were graduates in the first class to graduate from the Niskayuna High School. Sue had also been a dental assistant in Dr. Moon's dental office for many years before retiring. She was a caregiver to all in her family and pets. She will always be remembered as a cherished grandmother, affectionately known as 'Rocky'. Sue was predeceased by her husband, Jan J. Herrgesell, in 1992; and her beloved twin sister, Karen Dickson, in 2007. She is survived by her two children, Jonathan (Lisa) Herrgesell and Karen 'Missy' (John) Sotile; five grandchildren, Daniel and Bradley Herrgesell and John, Lucas and Alessandra Sotile; nieces and nephews, Patti Thrane, Diana Gaida, David and Brian Dickson and special great-nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Nick, Ashley, T.J., Calvin, Julia and Ana. Funeral services Thursday evening 7 at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours Thursday evening will precede the service from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.
