Gloria M. (Foy) Hunter, 80, of Morgan Ave., died suddenly on Monday, October 12, 2009, at Ellis Hospital. Gloria was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Clarence and Alice Mueller Foy. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and Mildred Elley Business School. For several years she worked at the General Electric Co. in the Employee Relations Dept. and later worked as an office manager of Dr. Moravec's office. She was a volunteer usher at Proctor's Theatre, and was also a volunteer at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital. Gloria will always be remembered for her love of animals. She was a communicant of St. Helen's Church. Gloria is survived by her husband, James J. Hunter, and relatives, Ruth Turner, Claudia Turner, and Ruth Richards. She was predeceased by her parents; her stepfather, Fred Rosback, and uncle and aunt, George and Katherine Foy. Funeral service Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Helen's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may come to the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, after 8 o'clock Thursday morning. Interment Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
