Schenectady - Judith S. Jablon, 69, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Judith was born in Schenectady the daughter of Edna Rice-Ovitt, who presently resides at the Eastern Star Home in Oriskany, NY, and the late Harvard Ovitt. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Scotia Glenville High School. Judith married Mark Jablon July 11th, 1970 at St. Thomas the Apostle. Mark predeceased her in 1997. Music was a very big part of Judith's life. She sang with the Schenectady Choral Society and loved to play the piano. She also enjoyed the Adirondack's, especially Long Lake, NY, and above all she was a loving mother who always put her children first. In addition to her father and husband, she was also predeceased by her brother James Ovitt. Judith is survived by her children: Michael Jablon of Rotterdam, NY, Christopher Jablon of East Falmouth, MA, sister Marilyn (Raymond) Nutting of North Augusta, SC and sister-in-law Laura Williams of Chapel Hill, NC. The funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday July 2, 2012 at Daly Funeral Home 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service Monday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY.
