Obituary of James Jewett

Schenectady - James A. Jewett, 80, of McClellan St., died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at home. Jim was born in Schenectady, the son of Arthur and Florence Jewett. He was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and Bellevue Hospital School of Nursing in New York City. Jim was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean era. He worked as a nurse, working through his professional career at many health related facilities in the capital area, including LaSalle School in Albany. He is survived by three children, Cindy (Peter) Capone and Nathan Jewett, both of Schenectady, and Matthew Jewett (fiance, Kristy Scott) of Mount Holly Springs, PA; two stepchildren, Eileen Kuntz and Danny Barr; a cousin, Jane Mahoney and several friends. Following Jim's request there are no calling hours and funeral. Arrangements by the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.
