Obituary of Brian Jordan

Rotterdam - Brian K. Jordan, 44, of Amsterdam Avenue, died suddenly (of a heart attack) on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Brian was born in Catskill, moved to Amsterdam as a child and was a graduate of Amsterdam High and Syracuse University where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a senior mechanical engineer for CHA, Inc. in Albany. Brian was filled with a love for life. He had the wonderful gift of filling a room with joy and happiness just by entering it. He loved good music, good food and riding roller coasters with his sons. His first priority was always his family. He was a loyal and generous friend willing to share both his time and expertise with the many people whose lives he touched. He was an active member of the First Unitarian Society of Schenectady. He had a professional affiliation with ASHRAE. Brian was an intimate and active friend of Bill W., for over 19 years. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his wife, Lisa; two sons, Charlie and Tim; his parents, Bradley and Carol Jordan of Amsterdam; two brothers, Chris (Cathy) Jordan, David (Wendy) Jordan; in-laws, Sally and Ed Heiligman of Amsterdam and Peter and AnneMarie Neddermeyer; Karen (Mike) Grace-Martin and Amy Martin; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours, Wednesday afternoon, 4 to 8 in the evening at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, with a brief prayer service at 7:30. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. at The First Unitarian Society of Schenectady, 1221 Wendell Ave., Schenectady.
