Obituary of Robert Kahre

Robert W. Kahre, 75, passed away at home on June, 15, 2010. Son of the late Henry and Louise Kahre, Robert lived in Schenectady most of his life until moving to Perth 21 years ago. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and served with the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, as well as working with the Department of Parks of the Town of Niskayuna, retiring as supervisor in 1990. He was husband of Patricia Swatling Kahre; father of James H. Kahre and Sherri L. Kahre; brother of Lawrence H. Kahre. He is also survived by his lifetime friend, Clifford Bard. Services will be on Friday, June 18 at 2 p.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady. Calling hours will be at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
