Rotterdam - Harry N. Kelsey, 92, of Oakridge Rd. died Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Ferncliff Archcare Rehabilitation Center in Rhinebeck. Mr. Kelsey was born in Ft. Covington, a graduate of Ft. Covington High School and had attended SUNY Canton. He moved to the Schenectady area in 1940 and worked for the General Electric Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1983. He was one of the original shareholders of the West Hill Corp., where he lived from 1954 to 2012. He was a longtime member of the Schenectady Astronomy Club and past president and was the genealogist for the Kelsey Kindred family. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Meilun Kelsey; they married in 1942, and she died in 2004. Harry is survived by four children, Virginia (William) Krebs of Rapid City, SD, Elaine (Robert) Cruickshank of Shokan, Norman Kelsey of St. Paul, MO, and Robert (Tracey) Kelsey of Glen Carbon, IL; four grandchildren, Kelsey Cruickshank and Madeleine, Dana and Colin Kelsey; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday morning, 10 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours Wednesday evening 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow and will be in Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
