Obituary of Malvina Keyton
Please share a memory of Malvina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Malvina "Vina" F. Keyton, 87, died December 29, 2009, at Ellis Hospital. With the good fortune of two loving husbands in her life, it is befitting she died under a blue moon of natural causes, with her family at her bedside. With her first husband, Ray Lee Keyton, she raised her family internationally and domestically. This journey took them to Fiji, Japan, Europe, California and Hawaii. During her extensive world travels, she studied art and collected antiques, which defined her one-of-a-kind style. On her return to Schenectady, she buried a loving husband and son. Upon another moon with a new love and husband, Sal Zeppieri and his loving children and grandchildren, life blossomed again. Together they have enjoyed life to the fullest with a keen eye towards birds and flowers and loving conversation well into her winter years. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Keyton; daughter-in-law, Stacy Drummond; and grandson, Nevada Syke Keyton of Princeton, NJ; husband, Sal Zeppieri; and his two sons, Richard and James; and her brother, Pasquale Frascatore. Vina was predeceased by her first husband, Ray Lee Keyton; a son, Ray Lee Keyton, Jr.; her two sisters, Anna Matura, and Eve Stremple; and her brothers, Harry, Frank, Louis, Joseph, and Alexander Frascatore. Funeral service on Monday morning 11:30 at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 at the funeral home. Interment, Memory's Garden Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ellis Hospital Foundation, 1101 Nott Street, Schenectady, New York 12308.
