Stoney Creek - Sheila Mae O'Brien Shottenham Barker Lagace, 66, of Harrisburg Rd., died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Glens Falls Hospital. Sheila was born in Baltimore Maryland, the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth O'Brien. She moved to Schenectady as a child and was a graduate of Linton High School. While at Linton she studied nursing, and with additional courses she earned a certificate to be a licensed practical nurse. Sheila worked at several health related facilities including St. Clare's Hospital, Ellis Hospital, Baptist Health, Our Lady of Hope and for many years did private duty. She is a former member of the Stoney Creek Fire and Rescue. She loved craft fairs, garage sales and gaming activities. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Theodore Lagace; and three children, Thomas Barker, Wendy Barker and Heather Lagace. She was predeceased by a son, Frank Barker III. Survived by a brother, Lawrence O'Brien, Jr. of Baltimore; six grandchildren, Ciara Potter, Zachary Wood, Tyler, Valian and Sean Englert and Cody Wilson; five stepchildren and grandchildren. Funeral service Wednesday morning 8:15 from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 9 a.m. at St. Luke's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours Tuesday afternoon 4 to 8 in the evening. Interment Memory Gardens, Colonie.
