John B. Lawyer was welcomed into eternal rest after a long illness on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. John is survived by his loving family including his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Lawyer. John is survived by his two brothers, Wallace (Arlene) and Gil (Virginia); his loving children, Tammy (Steven), Patricia, Michael (Amy), Jimmy (Dawn) and Daniel; grandchildren, Diana, Amy, Armond, Renee, Crystal, Alexa, Ashley, Margaret, Kayleigh, Brianne, Sean and Mia; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Haley and Matthew and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara, and several brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be Saturday 10 a.m. at Schenectady Memorial Park, Giffords Church Rd., Rotterdam.
