Obituary of Ruth Barnes

Ruth Barnes, 87, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Ellis Hospital. Ruth was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Edgar and Anna Krueger and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Mildred Elley Business School and worked for New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. Ruth was predeceased by her first husband, Wilson Barnes. She is survived by her children, Linda (Dominick) Sorrentino and Robert (Tracey) Barnes; second husband, Harold Budge; grandchildren, Gregory (Shauna) Sorrentino, Dominick (Laura) Sorrentino and Marcie Sorrentino, Kevyn (Megan) Barnes and Lynsee Barnes; great-grandchildren, Mia, Conorand Declan; brother, William Krueger; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Furman St., Schenectady. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam.
