Obituary of Joan Chappell

Milford, NH - Joan (Barkley) Lockhart Chappell, 78, died June 3, 2012 at her home in Milford, NH, surrounded by her loving family. Her husbands, Loran Lockhart of New York, and George Chappell of New Hampshire preceded her in death. She was born in St. Regis Falls, NY on February 24, 1934 a daughter of Arnold & Ruth (Erwin) Barkley. Family members include her daughter, Cheryl Lockhart Jeane and her husband, Patrick of Denham Springs, LA; granddaughter, KatyJo Jeane of Louisiana; a sister, Constance Parker of Brasher Falls, NY; a brother, Barry Barkley of New York; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Eleanor Barkley of Clay, NY, Allan and Maxine Barkley of Galway, NY; three step-sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Bonnie Chappell, Kent and Sharon Chappell, Carl and Sally Chappell, all of Milford; a step-daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Ivan Klopfenstein of Concord, NH; several nieces and nephews and the many children that called her MRS. Visiting hours in New Hampshire will be held on Wednesday, June 6th, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Grandview Farm, 17 Federal Hill Road, Milford, NH. A visiting hour in New York will be held on Thursday, June 7th, at 1 p.m. in the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady, NY 12304. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, 983 Waterviliet Shaker Road, Colonie, NY.
