Obituary of Evelyn Lynch

Evelyn Lynch NiskayunaEvelyn Connolly Lester Lynch, 97, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Kingsway Nursing Center. Evelyn was born in Johnstown, NY on August 6, 1914, the daughter of William and Mabel Collins Connolly. She was a retired accountant, she worked as a federal and New York state government employee and was also a self employed tax consultant in Johnstown, Schenectady and Melbourne, FL. She and her husband, Phil, moved to Melbourne, FL from Schenectady in 1976. They enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. In Melbourne she was a member of the Melbourne Civic Theater, the Melbourne Performing Arts Guild and The Henager Center for the Arts. She also volunteered and worked for all of the above whenever she was needed. She was predeceased by husbands, Philip Lynch and Leo E. Lester. She is survived by Candace (Thomas) Maloney of Niskayuna, NY; sons, Terence Lester of West Melbourne, FL and David (Martha) Lynch of Mechanicville, NY; 10 grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. Her loving family and friends that she touched and loved will miss Evelyn. May the Good Lord welcome her with open arms. Funeral service Monday morning 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnstown later in the spring.
