Obituary of STEPHEN MARRA

Stephen Marra, 86, formerly of Mallards Pond Ln., passed away peacefully Wednesday evening at The Inn at St. Peter's in Albany. Born in Schenectady, Stephen was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School. Stephen was a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service for many years before retiring. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was a member of the Rotterdam Elks and was an avid Yankees and Giants fan. He enjoyed many summers with his family and friends at his camp on Sacandaga Lake. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony Marra and Angeline Marra-Fehr, and his brother, Luke Marra. Husband of the late Julie Marra, he is survived by a son, Chris Marra and his wife, Beth of Selkirk; two grandchildren, Thomas and Jennifer; a sister-in-law, Patricia Marra, and a niece, Kim Oleksiak and her husband, Tim. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. His grandchildren, Thomas and Jennifer, will miss their Pop Pop dearly but are happy that he is back in Meme's arms in heaven. Funeral service Monday morning 9 o'clock at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. Calling hours Sunday evening 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
