Obituary of Catherine Martone

Clifton Park - Catherine "Kate" M. Martone, 71, of East Terrace Ct. formerly of Bruce St., Scotia, peacefully passed away after a brief illness, Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Ellis. Catherine was born and educated in East Hartford, CT and she moved to the Schenectady area in 1991. She was a hard worker through the years, working at several jobs in Connecticut and had worked several places in the Schenectady area. Kate was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Martone. He died in 2010. She is survived by her first husband and dear friend, John Stankes, Sr.; four children, Kelly Stankes, Kathleen Arsenault, John Stankes, Jr. and Matthew Stankes; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service, Thursday afternoon, 5 p.m., at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
