Obituary of Herman Bass JR

Schenectady - Herman E. Bass Jr. , 58, of Union Ave., died Monday, December 10, 2012 at Albany Medical Center. He was born in Saratoga Springs and was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and attended SCCC. Herman co-owned with his brother, Crown Construction Co. His favorite pastime was spent with family and friends, astronomy and playing his guitar. He was a member of Mount Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. Herman is survived by his common law wife, Pamela Carnegie; four children, Rhonda, Cheryl, Herman III, and Khatrel Bass; his mother, Cora Bass; stepson, Omar Lyons; brothers and sisters, Roxanne, John, Tracey and Nicole Bass and Laura Bass Lucas; four grandchildren, Shanyra, Adonis, Geodessye and Jaharie; several nieces and nephews; and his lifelong friend, George Boone. He was predeceased by his father, Herman E. Bass Sr.; a brother and sister, Leslie Warner and James Powell.
