Obituary of Janice Mazzone

Janice E. Mazzone, 78, formerly of May Ave., died Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Champlain Hospital in Plattsburgh, after an eight-year battle with Alzheimer's. Janice was born in Colonie, the daughter of Howard and Aleta Lashaw and was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. For many years she worked in the office at Bellevue Builder's and Supply, retiring several years ago. She was married to Chester Mazzone; he died in 1970. Mrs. Mazzone is survived by four children, Mark Traux (and partner, Paulo Echer) of Tampa, FL, Raymond (Sue) Traux of Ballston Spa, Laurie (Robert) Osborne of Rotonda West, FL and Chester (Beth) of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Nyola Flory of Rotterdam and Joyce Schelde of Watervliet; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Thursday morning 11 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours Wednesday evening 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
