William "Mr. Bill" McBride, 82, formerly of Lincoln Heights, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Schenectady, he was a lifelong area resident. Bill worked for a Locomotive Company for many years before retiring. He was an avid Yankees fan, present at Yankee stadium when Derek Jeter got his 3000th hit. Survivors include a sister, Margaret Lee; several nieces and nephews; and his extended family and friends at Baptist. Funeral service Thursday afternoon 4 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. Calling hours will precede the service Thursday from 2 to 4. Interment will be private.
