Donald B. McCormack, known by most people as "Mac," 83, formerly of Glenville and Old Forge and in recent years Ballston Lake, died Friday, April 22, 2011, at Saratoga Hospital after a short illness. Mac was born and educated in Utica, the son of Charles and Rose McCormack. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, serving in World War II. He moved to the Glenville area many years ago. Mac worked as an insurance agent for Allstate and for many years was a car salesmen for Mohawk Honda. After retiring, he and his wife moved to their summer home where he enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, and family and friend gatherings. Mac is survived be his devoted wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Alford McCormack; five children, Joseph McCormack of Scotia, Diane (Dan) Walz of Ballston Lake, Lynn (significant other, Ron) McCormack of Hitchcock, TX, Charlie (Patty) McCormack of Ballston Lake and Beth (Ron) Puglisi of Glenville; 10 grandchildren, Tricia Show, Nathan (Karen) Walz, Garret (Sharon) Walz, Tyler Walz, Molly and Charlie McCormack, Tom Strangle II, James DeMasi, Kevin Puglisi, Dan (Melissa) Puglisi and five great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Thursday evening 5 to 8 at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to the American/Stroke Assoc., P.O.
