Ruth Davidson McGraw passed away October 9, 2011. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, March 6, 1924, daughter of George E. and Carolyn Thomas Davidson. She was a graduate of South Hills High School and Bellefield School of Retail Selling. She was employed by G.C. Murphy Co. and The Philadelphia Co. before moving to Schenectady in 1943. She also worked at Manuscript Typing Service as a proof reader, also U.S. Army Depot and in 1960, joined General Electric Co. and retired from G.E. Broadcasting - WRGB/WGY in 1985. Ruth was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph, John and George E. Davidson, Jr. Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn (William) Winnie and Margaret (Holmes) Hooke; two grandsons, Brant (Florina) and Seth Winnie; one great-grandson, Logan, and many nieces and nephews. For many years she was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Memberships also include Acacia #77 Ct., G.E. Athletic Association and Mike and Camera Retirement Association. Funeral service Friday morning 11 a.m. October 14, at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1401 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304, or to Thomas Corners Fire Dept., 5 Airport Rd., Glenville, NY 12302.
