Niskayuna - Elizabeth "Betty" Milano, 99, of the Glen Eddy Retirement Community in Niskayuna, NY, died on August 23 at Ellis Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Dr. Joseph E. Milano. She was also predeceased by her parents, Charles M. Leonard and Elizabeth Behan Leonard, and three sisters, Margaret Kalteux, Ann Hoare and Mary Wallace. She is survived by nine nieces and nephews. Betty Ann Callanan of Hampton, NH, James Kalteux of Niskayuna, NY, Cynthia Eagar of Cape Cod, Thomas Hoare of Newbury Port, MA, Betsy Worstell, Charles Wallace and Francis Wallace of Denver, CO, Robert Murray of Glens Falls, NY and Neil Murray, PhD of Niskayuna, NY. She was predeceased by her nephew Thomas Kalteux of Clifton Park, NY. Mrs. Milano was a long time volunteer in many organizations, and was an active member of the Union College Club of Schenectady, The Gardeners Workshop, Queens Fort and the Mohawk Golf Club. Mrs. Milano was also an Honorary Board member of the Joan Nicole Prince Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 27th at 10am at St. John the Evangelist Church followed by burial in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Calling hours at Daly Funeral Home will be on Sunday, August 26th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
