Obituary of Marion Miranda

Marion M. Miranda, 93, of Curry Rd., died Monday, June 6, 2011, peacefully at home, with her son at her side. Marion was born in Rotterdam, the daughter of Antonio and Caroline Mastroianni. She attended Rotterdam schools. For many years she worked at the General Electric Co. where she worked in several departments, retiring in 1977. Marion was a faith filled woman who attended Mass for many years at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (formerly Our Lady of Assumption Church). She was predeceased by her husband, Michael A. Miranda, Jr.; he died in 2009. Marion is survived by her son, Michael Miranda; four siblings, Malfalda Reilly, Steven (Irma) Mastrean, Louise Buhrmaster and Beverly Howard; sister-in-law, Nellie Mastroianni; cousins, nieces and nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by four siblings, Fredrick Mastroianni, Laura Mlodzianowski, Edith Kopa and Anthony Mastreani. Funeral service Friday morning 8:30 from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 9:30 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Princetown Rd., Rotterdam, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours Thursday evening, 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Entombment, Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam. Marion's family express their great appreciation of her home health care aides, Megan, Ashley, Cindy and Colleen, and to the Hospice staff, Michelle, Sue, Sonja, Tara and Eve.
